All Robinson Mine employees are accountable for the safety of themselves as well as that of their coworkers. Applicant must have knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and promote health and safety to all Robinson Mine employees by facilitating a Health Program which includes detection, prevention and treatment of mining health hazards; conducting employee health screenings and promoting a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with an active nursing license in the State of Nevada with at least three years of experience in nursing.
•Current Nevada Driver’s License. • Intermediate computer skills that would include the ability to proficiently operate all MS Office applications and the ability to quickly learn proprietary database applications.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with a Certification as an Occupational Health Nurse is preferred.
• Previous mining experience preferred.
• COAHC Certification preferred.
• MSHA Instructor Certification preferred.


Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable State and Federal regulations.
• Provide basic medical care for injured or ill employees at the mine as appropriate.
• Conduct pre-employment and annual employee health screenings.
• Perform health risk assessments, industrial hygiene sampling and ergonomic surveys throughout the mine site.
• Manage the Respiratory Protection and Hearing Conservation Programs.
• Develop and manage the Robinson Mine Health and Wellness program.
• Plan, implement and manage an Infectious Control Program that will include vaccination program as directed by DOL, CDC and other regulatory agencies, to include hepatitis and other bodily fluids or blood borne pathogens.
• Act as a primary liaison with the local hospital and clinics for occupational health and wellness matters.
• Manage occupational health records to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations and confidentiality.
• Manage the Workers Compensation Program at the Robinson Mine. Provide medical case management for injured or ill employees.
• Develop and deliver education and training packages related to health promotion, risk prevention and employee safety.
