Applicants must have Electrical and Instrumentation experience with 2+ years mining experience preferred. Applicants must be familiar with 3-phase, 480-volt motor circuitry and basic trouble-shooting techniques, be able to follow blueprints, sketches, diagrams and manuals for installation and troubleshooting circuitry and have previous instrumentation and PLC experience with documented training desirable. Candidates possessing a working knowledge of MSHA laws, particularly those pertaining to electrical and instrumentation installation and maintenance is a plus. Knowledge of the National Electric Code is required. This position is designated working a rotating shift schedule. However, the Electrician/Instrumentation Technician is expected to be able to respond to call-outs on off-shifts as required. Successful applicants must provide their own hand tools.


The successful candidate will maintain and repair electrical systems mine wide, work on high voltage switchgear and assist with new construction as required. Applicants must be skilled in the use of voltmeters, ammeters, etc; and must have an understanding of how to program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
